From the department of truly awesome achievements comes this photograph, taken in February 1984, of astronaut Bruce McCandless floating 320 feet from the space shuttle Challenger during the first-ever untethered space walk using a jet-propelled backpack.

Triumph Speed Twin cafe racer concept by Northumbria University students, Roy Norton and Thomas Kasher.Designed to appeal to a new generation of motorcyclists looking for a new interpretation on the classic, vintage cafe racer, it’s stripped back, lowered and lengthened.
The Speed Twin has the look of a bespoke, custom ride with an emphasis on proportion and detail. It mixes the heritage of the Triumph brand with modern design principles, while the collaboration with Barbour has obvious fashion and lifestyle connotations. —via
